The Emmaus School of Theology (ESOT)‘s vision is to help students discover the riches of God’s Word, develop faith and acquire confidence in spreading the gospel.
Our purpose is to equip faithful men and women of all nations for the work of the ministry. We aim to do this by teaching spiritual truths, imparting biblical knowledge, providing practical ministry opportunities, and grounding students in the message of God's unconditional love and grace.
ESOT gives the flexibility and convenience of part time study at a local venue.
“I am a Pastor and a leader in the Pilgrim Progress Church in South Africa. Before starting my studies with Emmaus school of Theology, I opened three branches of our church. The attendance grew very fast. Fifty to Seventy people attended every week, but then numbers started to drop, and I did not know why. I was on the road to Emmaus. I am now in my first year of study at Emmaus School of Theology. Their courses have shaped my faith and life as a minister of the gospel. I now preach, teach and evangelize with confidence because I know all the basic Bible doctrines.
Every module has taken me from faith to faith, from power to strength. Emmaus school has equipped me for the work of ministry. I know the principles of prayer, and the different types of prayers taught in the Bible etc. My time at ESOT has shown me the reason why the churches I had planted prior had not been growing. I was reaching out for myself, not God. I am now making disciples for God, not for my acclaim. I teach to equip the church.
Emmaus School of Theology is the best school ever in Theological courses. I wish to continue studying at Emmaus until I reach higher levels.”
“As I reflect on the last two years of my life as a student at Emmaus School of Theology, I give all thanks and praise to the Almighty God. In two years, I have achieved a lot despite the pandemic. One of my biggest challenges and yet achievements was to enrol in a three-year Bible course at Emmaus School of Theology.
I have successfully completed my first year and have received my first-year certificate, am now in my second year what a blessing! Some of the Bible topics have been tough to handle, but as I study the word I am starting to think differently. I now realise I did not know God.
Enrolling on this course has taken religion out of me; It has helped me to understand the truth and purpose of my life. I just want to thank Dr Phiri for all his help and support, I pray that God will continue to bless and keep all the staff of Emmaus School of Theology.
As I continue in my second year of study, I pray that by the grace of God, I will be able to finish the Course and use the knowledge I will gain to edify myself and others by spreading the Gospel of the kingdom of God.”
